On 2 March, the Chairwoman of the Competition Council of Latvia (the CC) Skaidrīte Ābrama participated at the VI International Competition Forum of Ukraine to share Latvian experience implementing the recommendations of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
The Forum is hosted by the Competition Development Foundation and the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and is a key event to the exchange of international experience in the field of competition and the development of proposals for the improvement of Ukrainian competition policy and law enforcement.
A strong cooperation between competition authorities and international organisation is very beneficial in order not only to straighten the application of the competition rules on a national level, but also to promote competition policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the Europe.
The attendees of this forum included entrepreneurs and representatives of the law firms and associations from Ukraine but the presentations were given by the Ukrainian government institutions, experts and practitioners on the competition rules from USA, Canada, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Austria, Latvia, Slovakia and Kazakhstan.
