On 8 May, the Competition Council of Latvia hosted the annual regional 12th Baltic Competition Conference in Riga, the capital of Latvia. The conference was devoted to four topics: detection of prohibited agreements, merger and acquisition control, dominance and sectorial issues and communication, competition advocacy and strategic issues.
The event brought together participants from all three Baltic competition authorities – Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian –, as well as from Austria, Germany, Finland, Poland and Sweden and academics from both Europe and United States.
Baltic Competition Conferences are provided on regular basis once in a year, where experts from competition authorities of the Baltic states as well as guests from other countries share their experiences on different competition enforcement and policy issues within their country.
